History
Wayne Clayton Newcomb was raised in New York City, riding city transit to the music school he attended. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and shipped out to war. He created a popular radio show “Letters from Home” and read to his fellow Marines on air. After finishing his enlistment, he went to work as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA until he retired 1988. Not one to sit home, he contracted for the government and founded his own business, SNI. He was an avid musician, photographer, boater and fisherman. His love for his family was unending, as were the corny puns and jokes he always told.
